It's been a while ...

Admittedly, when we set up this blog, we had high hopes for weekly, if not daily, postings. *SIGH* Best laid plans ... We have been updating the weeHouse's Facebook page ... that's pretty cool. Also, we have updated our Web site with new photographs, weeWares, and pricing!

And we now will be more intentional (promise) about keeping weeHouse and Alchemy LLC fans up-to-date here.

Also, we so would like to hear from you ...
please, send us your comments, your inquiries, and your thoughts on the wee-wide-world.

We look forward to a more active dialog.

I live in, and own a classic Victorian house in the Inner Sunset District of San Francisco...
There is a falling-down old barn in back which i am going to remove and replace, with either a similar barn type structure, or with a modern pre-fab, like Wee house does...

On the north side of me is a row of four Victorians. To the uphill, right side is a 60s big box, 8 unit apartment bld....

Aesthetically, the Wee house will relate more to the 60s box. I, therefore, am leaning toward something that relates to the Vic design of my place...

Tell me I am wrong, so I can go modern.

Jack,

Follow your heart! you know you want the modern building. Plus, a true expression of the time will be a better neighbor in the long term than an attempt to recapture a previous style, especially if done poorly. Remember that the "Victorian" was the flavor of the month in their day. Ultimately, whatever you do, build it well. The clothes can change, but the bones should last a long time, (I've restored a few Victorian homes, and they put a lot of faith in tiny pieces of wood; the plaster shell seemed to be a vital part of the structural system).

GOOD LUCK!
